2016 OL Makes Flip Official, Commits to A&M
Just weeks after announcing his decision to open up his recruitment and back off his verbal commitment to the Cowboys, 2016 offensive tackle Ryan McCollum announced he has officially “shut down” his recruitment and chose Texas A&M in a video released on Sunday.

Just months ago in August, this was the video he released announcing his commitment to the Cowboys. The in-state Aggies jumped in the mix late in the process, and the A&M offer was enough to pull him from the Cowboys and change his mind.

As luck would have it, just hours after McCollum’s announcement to choose A&M, the Cowboys lost a verbal commitment from the lone quarterback commitment in Nick Starkel. While it is pure speculation at this point, Starkel’s only other big-time offer is from none other than Texas A&M, so McCollum’s decision may have a bigger impact on Starkel than expected.
