Oklahoma State Trying To Flip Louisiana Recruit for Second Straight Year

Oklahoma State has had recent success recruiting the hotbed of talent that is Louisiana. The Cowboys have picked up Sione Palelei, Kevin Henry, and most recently offensive lineman Marcus Keyes.

Last year, the Cowboys accepted commitments from several offensive lineman; however one early enrollee, Matt Kellerman, walked away from the program in January, which left an open scholarship.

That open scholarship went out to Marcus Keyes, an offensive lineman who was committed to Louisiana Monroe before making the switch to OSU just a day before national signing day – and without having made an official visit to Stillwater.

This year, Oklahoma State is trying to repeat the same trend in flipping a prospect from Louisiana to OSU.

The Pokes lost their lone commitment at quarterback a day before the no-contact period for recruiting in December, which left them scrambling for guys to find in a pinch.

They appear to have found their guy (or at least one). The top target on the board is Keondre Wudtee; a 6-foot-4, 190-pound dual threat quarterback from Bossier City, LA. Wudtee received an offer from the Pokes after the news of Nick Starkel’s decision, and just a day after the offer, decided to decommit from Louisiana Tech.

Wudtee is expected to make an official visit to Stillwater this weekend, and if all goes as planned, the Cowboys could be in line to convince a Louisiana prospect to make a last second flip to OSU for a second consecutive year.
