2017 Recruiting Wish List

Published

on

The 2016 recruiting class wrapped less than a week ago, but it’s never too early to look ahead to the next cycle. Oklahoma State currently has one commitment in the class from Lubbock, Texas safety Ty Thomas. The recruiting process is a very long one, but here’s some guys to keep an eye on this season.

Tracin Wallace (QB)

Wallace was forced to sit out his entire junior season due to an ACL injury, but he has all the physical tools to be an excellent athlete at the next level. He’s a bit undersized (6-1, 170-lbs.) for a quarterback, where he currently plays, and most recruiting services list him simply as an athlete. He projects nicely as a receiver or even a defensive back at the next level. Even after missing his entire junior season, he already has offers from OSU, SMU, Houston, and TU.

Tylan Wallace (WR)

The twin brother of the aforementioned Tracin, Tylan may be the more talented of the two. Or at least he was the only one to prove it in a breakout junior season. He has offers from Michigan, OU, SMU, OSU, and many more. Because of the need for talent at receiver after next season and a chance for early playing time, I think OSU will sign at least one big-name in the 2017 class. Wallace would be a great one.

Logan Rudolph (TE/DE)

Rudolph is a hot name not only for his recognizable last name, but also because his talents are just off the charts. He already has offers from Miami, Fla. St., South Carolina, Texas A&M and many more. He had a monster juni0r season at defensive end, and I think the Cowboys would be best fit to pursue him at end rather than the versatile Cowboy back. Rudolph has made several trips to Stillwater, and the chance to play with his older brother could be a nice lure for the standout athlete who could fit multiple positions.

Damion Daniels (DT)

The younder brother of Darrion “Sugar Loaf” Daniels, Damion has come into his own as a very impressive college prospect at defensive tackle. Bishop Dunne doesn’t mess around with churning out top talent, and Damion has next up. He only has 4 offers – but they’re all big ones from OSU, Iowa, Rice, and SMU.

Keldrick Carper (ATH)

Carper recently named the Pokes in his top group, but now he’s drawing attention on a national stage which might shake things up a bit. The four-star athlete from Plain Dealing, LA, already has offers from Tennessee, Mississippi State, Georgia, OSU, and plenty more to come.
