Thomas, a three-star prospect ranked by 247sports, is coming off an unofficial visit to Norman over the weekend. His third trip to Norman, and soon-to-be first visit to Stillwater.
The Cowboys have a lot of work to do to position themselves with Thomas, as the Sooners are the presumptive favorite to land his services – and a decision possibly coming later this month.
Thomas has offers from both OU and OSU, along with Baylor, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Missouri, Tennessee, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, and Arizona.
Wooing one of the top in-state prospects would go a long way to help solidify the Pokes position on the recruiting trail within the state. Especially after losing three of the top prospects in Levi Draper, Justin Broiles, and Tre Brown to the Sooners. So it will be interesting to see if the coaching staff can make a big impression today. Otherwise, the Sooners could be headed for another in-state recruiting victory.
