Phil Forte Returns to Practice in Time for Brad Underwood’s First Workout
The Brad Underwood era is officially underway. Underwood’s squad started offseason workouts this week, and we get our first glimpse of what his team is going to do in practices. “This is the nuts and bolts of our program,” said Underwood. “Day one is in the books. It’s a day I’ve been looking forward to for some time.”
Th video is surprisingly compelling (maybe I’m just extremely curious about what this team will look like).
He even got supersenior shooting guard Phil Forte back.
“It felt good to get back on the court with coaches and my teammates,” said Forte. “It’s been a long offseason of sitting and watching. I have one year left. I’m trying to get ready, work out and prepare for the season.
“I’m definitely at a point now where I can shoot, dribble, lift and do all that stuff. Now it’s just a mental thing getting back on the court. If there’s a loose ball, diving for that again … ”
