Spring Game

Glenn Spencer: “We had six starters out because of injury. I was asking before the game if anyone had ever been fired because of the spring game, but it turned out OK.” [NewsOK]

Gundy has an excuse: “We’re in a divided unit, we substitute a lot in a lot of our packages, so there’s kind of a minimal opportunity for us to be as diverse as we want to. As in the case in most springs, there’s an advantage for the defense. They’ve seen the same plays for two months, but they’ve got to get lined up and make plays also.We’re an improved team. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but it’s a little more difficult at times to function in a spring game than you want it to be.” [Go Pokes]
