Oklahoma State Adds Long Snapper Tanner Morgan to 2016 List
Oklahoma State has added 2016 long snapper Tanner Morgan from Ankeny Centennial, Iowa. Morgan is one of the highest rated long snappers in the 2016 class who held preferred walk-on offers from Baylor, Arkansas, Iowa State, and Memphis. He will join OSU as a preferred walk-on.
The Cowboys recently lost a commitment at long snapper after another highly touted prospect, Geron Eatherly, backed out of his commitment and chose a full ride with Tulane.
Here’s what he told the Des Moines Register after his decision to pick OSU:
It was a tough decision. I had a lot of opportunities at other places, but this one was the best one for my family and me. Coach Gundy’s really built that program up. They’ve been winning, and I just had a great feeling about it.
Morgan is a 6-1, 235-pound prospect, who earned all-state defensive lineman honors and was the team’s leading tackler as a senior.
