Cowboy Baseball Adds Three More All-Americans
Oklahoma State’s baseball team is practicing this week at Clemson in preparation for its Super Regional showdown with South Carolina (I guess when you sweep a regional host, you get to take over their field for as long as you want).
Josh Holliday spoke poignantly here about the relationships he’s enjoying during the most fun part of the baseball season.
“The best part about it is every day you get to wake up continue to see each other and your players,” said Holliday. “It’s such a precious opportunity, and those days are not guaranteed forever.”
Two of Holliday’s best players — Donnie Walton and Thomas Hatch — were named All-Americans this week. I realize there are roughly 329 outlets that claim All-Americans, but I’m going to pick Baseball America as my outlet of choice. That’s who tabbed those two All-Americans.
They were both pinned to the third team by Baseball America. They are the 117th and 118th All-American honors in school history.
Also, another of OSU’s aces (Jensen Elliott) was named a freshman All-American by a different publication.
