QB Rising Says OSU Felt Like Home, Chooses Sooners Following Visit
One of the top 10 quarterbacks in the country for the 2018 class made his decision official this weekend, as Cameron Rising made his announcement to commit to OU over a slew of suitors that included TCU, OSU, Miami, Ole Miss, UCLA, and others:

“You can’t go wrong with a school like Oklahoma, with that history, the winning and coach Stoops,” Rising told the Ventura Star after his pledge.
“Coaches told me that I’d get that feeling and I probably got it in two or three places,” Rising continued, also stating that he felt at home at OSU and TCU along with OU.
Ultimately the Sooners won out, but OSU definitely caught his eye, telling PFB following his trip to Stillwater that the trip was “awesome,” and he enjoyed the visit, adding that he “loved Coach Arroyo [one of his recruiters] and Coach Gundy.”
Rising has family in Ada, Okla., which likely played a factor in his decision, too. The Newbury Park, California prospect will now be just an hour drive away from family after moving to Norman next year.
