The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap, catching you up to speed on the latest news and rumors surrounding Oklahoma State recruiting, with an ear to the ground for what to expect in the future.

Tylan, Tracin Wallace talk football & recruiting

Twin verbal commits in the 2017 class, Tylan and Tracin Wallace, spoke with texasfootball.com for an interview where they talked about a number of things. Tracin, a dual-threat QB/ATH, is coming off an injury to his ACL that kept him out of 2015 and Tylan is looking to build off an impressive junior campaign that jolted him in the rankings as high as No. 72 in the ESPN300.

“The family atmosphere, the coaches, just..They’re always interested. They’re always checking up on you,” Tracin said on why he chose Oklahoma State. Adding that “It just felt like home.”

Tylan shared the same sentiment, praising the family atmosphere as well. “When we went up for the spring game, everybody went up to us just telling us congratulations and welcome home, all that.” They also added that they made it clear to coaches that they are a packaged deal in regard to recruiting. Obviously verbal commitments are non-binding, but they both seem to be set on OSU — and the Cowboys are adding two versatile playmakers who no doubt have bright futures.

New 2018 shooting guard offer

Brad Underwood and the crew have extended a new offer to 2018 prospect Eric Ayala who is a versatile two-way guard from Delaware.

Ayala is one of four top shooting guard targets for OSU in the 2018 class, joining the likes of Kyler Edwards, Quentin Grimes, and Antwann Jones, Jr.

2017 shooting guard target sets official visit date

A top target in the 2017 class, Keith Williams, is set for an official visit to Stillwater on Oct. 8 per multiple media reports. The 6-foot-5 Brooklyn area prospect holds 9 offers and is also planning to visit Cincy and Dayton on an official visit basis. He’ll have a chance to take up to five officials, but at the moment OSU does not hold a commitment at shooting guard for 2017 — so there’s an opportunity there the Cowboys can offer as well.

Like Ayala above, I’d consider Williams to be more of a combo guard with his ability to handle the ball and shoot the ball very well. At 6-foot-5, he has a smaller frame sitting at just 190 pounds but plays very physical nonetheless. He’s smooth around the rim and finishes well in the paint, and he shoots the ball with confidence and plays with a swagger that makes him pretty fun to watch on film.

2018 QB Cade Fortin Picks A&M

2018 QB target Cade Fortin of Suwanee, GA pledged to Texas A&M recently over many offers including OSU. OSU still has several other targets left on the board for 2018, and it’s worth noting that two top targets recently came off the board with Cam Rising picking OU and Fortin now to A&M. There’s still some really good options left in the current pool of offers for OSU in 2018.
