Jalen McCleskey Helped Recruit Tyron Johnson to Oklahoma State
When LSU transfer Tyron Johnson made the decision to transfer, he talked with sophomore receiver Jalen McCleskey about his decision and even put a plug in for Oklahoma State.
“He talked to me when he said he was transferring,” McCleskey said on Thursday. “I just told him it was a great fit and that Coach Dunn [the receivers coach] really wanted him.”
The connection between the two is undeniable. Jalen Mccleskey’s father, J.J., is a well known trainer and has known Johnson for some time. They are both from the 504 New Orleans area and have that connection, too.
Even more, according to a report from the media member speaking with Mccleskey, Tyron and his father played a large role in how Jalen eventually ended up at OSU. So for OSU and Mccleskey, they have to be excited to see that process come full circle. And just further proof that at Oklahoma State, players remain the best recruiters.
