Glenn Spencer Almost “Busted a Window” from Excitement in Press Box
Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer is known as an expressive person, especially after a big defensive play. Spencer had to adapt to his new environment on Saturday, though, as he operated from the press box for the first time this season.
Following the Cowboys’ 49-31 victory over the Texas Longhorns, Spencer admitted that he still had the same energy, but he had to take it out on the press box window.
The first half must have been frustrating for Spencer, as the Cowboys gave up over 400 yards. But, although they did allow one touchdown in the third quarter, they forced four punts, an interception and a turnover on downs in the second half.
“And then after that fourth down stop, I might have busted that window,” Spencer told reporters. “I slammed it. I was so jacked up but that’s alright, I’ll pay for that if I busted that window celebrating.”

Luckily for Spencer, the windows had a little give. But they presumably took a beating over the course of four quarters.

Let’s hope the athletic department has some spare windows laying around, just in case.
