Mike Gundy Refuses to Acknowledge OSU as a Two-Loss Team
Oklahoma State moved to 5-2 on the season after a 44-20 road victory against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, but don’t tell Mike Gundy his team has two losses.
The Cowboys suffered their first “loss” of the season in a home contest against the Central Michigan Chippewas, who were incorrectly awarded an untimed down that ultimately resulted in a hail mary touchdown.
Even though all 10 officials were suspended and the outcome wasn’t reversed, it doesn’t mean that Mike Gundy has to acknowledge it. Here’s the exchange that took place in his press conference with a reporter on Monday:
Reporter: “Do you, particularly this is a game that can really raise your season Mike, after two losses.”
Mike Gundy: “One loss.”
Reporter: “One you shouldn’t have won, and one you didn’t win.”
Mike Gundy: “That’s right, one loss.”
