Oklahoma State Hosts Huge Visitor from Georgia for Unofficial Visit
Among the big names on Saturday on hand for Oklahoma State’s last home game of the year was a big-name recruit who flew below the radar. That name is Tyler Taylor, a four-star inside linebacker from Lanier, Ga.
Taylor named OSU in his top six several months ago, but being from Georgia, schools like Auburn, Georgia, and Miami are considered big threats just because of the location relevant to home. Oklahoma, who was a big name in the mix, is full at the linebacker position for their 2017 class. At the moment, the in-state school is the favorite according to 247sports.
Still, though, this is Taylors second visit to Stillwater. And Glenn Spencer has a track record of plucking some gems out of the Peach State most recently with linebacker Kirk Tucker.
The Cowboys will be particularly thin at linebacker next year with Jordan Burton and Devante Averette graduating. And experienced veteran Gyasi Akem will be going into his last season of eligibility next season, too. If it’s playing time Taylor wants, Oklahoma State may have plenty to offer very soon.
