2017 Defensive Back Tyon Merchant De-commits From OSU
Oklahoma State has lost a commitment from one of their defensive recruits for the 2017 class.
Tyon Merchant, a senior prospect from College Station, Texas, announced he was de-committing from the Pokes program on Monday on twitter:

Merchant has been what I would say “on the fence” ever since committing to OSU back in April. Shortly after his pledge, Arkansas extended an offer, and there appears to be interest between the two parties. It sounds to me as if it may have been a mutual separation between Merchant and OSU, although with recruiting sometimes the full story never gets out.
Merchant also held offers from SMU, Houston, Arkansas, UTSA, and Texas State before pledging to OSU. Now the 6-foot-2 defensive back from A&M Consolidated is back on the market, and I wouldn’t be too surprised if OSU moves forward in pursuing other recruits at the position and moving on from Merchant completely.
