Gundy Rolls Through October
For the second consecutive year OSU has rolled undefeated through its October schedule.
When we tee it up against [Big 12 team X] in the first week of October next year we will not have lost an October matchup since 2010 against Nebraska.
In fact, since 2007 Gundy’s squads have won 81% of their October games (compared with a 74% overall winning percentage).
October has been Gundy’s money-making month for quite a while now actually. Here are his winning percentages by month since the Georgia game in Athens to kick off the ’07 season:
January – 50%
August – Undefeated
September – 79%
October – 82%
November – 58%
December – 75%
Overall – 74%
As you can see from the numbers above, November is when it gets real in Big 12 country.
The Cowboys took care of business in October though and did what they needed to do to set themselves up for a potential surprise run deep into the title race.
