Mike Yurcich No Longer In Running For Auburn Job
Well … that was fast.
A day after Mike Yurcich was supposedly up for the Auburn job he has now taken his name out of the running. Yurcich went on the radio with Robert Allen on Wednesday and said he was no longer a candidate to go to Auburn.
Oklahoma State OC Mike Yurcich let Triple Play Sports Radio and https://t.co/smK5uilGKt know he took his name out on the Auburn OC job.

Yurcich doesn’t really strike me as a SEC guy anyway. Grew up in Ohio, went to school in Pennsylvania and now he’s here. If he moves on, it seems like it will either be 1. for a head coaching job somewhere small or 2. as the OC at, like, Michigan or somewhere like that. Auburn didn’t make a ton of sense.
Maybe more importantly here is the fact that Yurcich will almost certainly return to guide an offense that was one of the best in the country last year and has a chance to be maybe the best in school history in 2017.
Yurcich made $500,000 in 2016.
