Oklahoma State Will Remember The 10 Against Arkansas On Saturday
Saturday’s home basketball game against Arkansas falls on January 28. One day after the 16th (!) anniversary of the plane crash which left 10 dead on the way back from a game at Colorado. OSU will honor those 10 in the following way.
Friday
- 6:37 p.m. — OSU Library Carillon bells will toll 10 times
Saturday
- 1-3 p.m. — GIA Memorial Lobby opens for visitors
- 2:45 p.m. — Moment of silence in GIA
- Halftime — OSU Counseling Services will receive the proceeds from last year’s Remember The Ten Run
This is always a staggering weekend. Even more so when you think about the fact that it happened nearly two decades ago. Two decades! I’ll never forget so many specific events from that period of time. Sitting with my dad watching SportsCenter. The Mizzou game. The Desmond Mason dunk contes. We will discuss all of those in the coming day, but don’t forget about Friday and Saturday’s memorial.
Also I would imagine we will get the cursive throwbacks once again (which will be awesome).
To honor the memories of those lost, the Cowboys will wear special tribute jerseys for Remember The Ten night. pic.twitter.com/5zp9vlDDwg
