Cal Graduate Transfer Lineman Commits to Oklahoma State
Cal graduate transfer offensive tackle Aaron Cochran has committed to play for Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State in his final year of college eligibility, Jake Trotter of ESPN reports. He chose OSU over finalists Auburn and Texas Tech.
“I loved the environment, loved the school. I like what’s going on there. I want to be a part of it,” Cochran told ESPN of his commitment.
The 6-foot-8, 350-pounder should fill an immediate need for Oklahoma State. Left tackle was a position of question after Victor Salako graduated, and Cochran will likely be a plug-and-play for Mason Rudolph’s blindside protection.
Cochran played in 28 games and started 16 over the last three years for Cal. In 2016, he played in 11 games with a career-high 10 starts at left tackle. Cochran is on track to earn his bachelor’s degree from Cal in interdisciplinary studies in May.
