Dana Holgorsen Approves Gundy Mullet, Suggests a Perm
West Virginia head coach and former Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen had nothing but compliments for OSU head coach Mike Gundy’s mullet in an interview with Sports Illustrated on Monday.
“I admire it,” Holgorsen said. “I really do. I just think he should perm it and do just the full [Eastbound and Down character] Kenny Powers look.”
WVU offensive coordinator Jake Spavital, who also worked with Gundy as a graduate assistant, admitted his surprise by Gundy’s change in hairstyle after his departure from OSU.
“I didn’t think Coach Gundy would go that direction,” Jake Spavital said. “When I worked for him in 2010, he was high and tight and his hair was really perfect … but I got out of there in enough time before I started growing a mullet.”
