Rivals posits that Jawun’s replacement looks up to the task.

Originally thought of as just an athlete, (Zack) Dawson had an excellent senior season at South Miami High School. A major weapon off of the high ball screen, the four-star guard will have more than enough scorers around him in Stillwater.
If he can buy into a facilitating, playmaking role, the drop-off will not be as harsh as Dawson has all of the raw talents and abilities to play above his No. 109 ranking in the 2017 Rivals150. [Rivals]

Evans is one of the best point guards to come through but if Dawson can create and lock up some guards with his size, that will be really nice.

Later in the first round, CBS’ NBA draft expert had a glowing review for Jawun Evans.

Do you think the Magic ought to go all-in with Elfrid Payton, one of the worst-shooting point guards in the league? Neither do I!
Instead, how about taking a flier on Evans, one of the toughest point guards I’ve seen at the college level. Yes, he has physical limitations – just shy of six feet, not an elite athlete – but because of those limitations Evans has become the most underrated point guard in this loaded point guard class. He was a great quarterback of a point guard in college, and he will be in the NBA as well. [CBS Sports]

Now this is noted as the crazy mock with trades galore but this sentiment on Evans seems to be growing. Looks like running the pick-and-roll and solid three point shooting get you a ticket to the NBA.
