Green Bay Packers Sign Lane Taylor to 3-year, $16.5 Million Extension
One of the best offensive linemen to come through Stillwater is getting a major pay raise in the NFL.
Lane Taylor, now the Packers’ starting guard on the offensive line, has inked a three-year, $16.5 million extension with the team that includes a $5 million signing bonus, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Monday.

Taylor signed a two-year extension with the Packers last offseason worth $4.15 million with a $600K signing bonus, but his consistency in the 2016 season handling the starting job at guard ultimately helped land him money that was more commensurate with his role in Green Bay.
Taylor will make nearly $8 million with the bonus in 2017. His three-year extension will be tacked on after this year.

Taylor, who went undrafted out of OSU in 2013, earned First Team All-Big 12 honors as a Cowboy and signed with Green Bay as a free agent, where he’s been on the roster since. Taylor was one of only three Packers offensive linemen to start every game last season, and his new deal in place will keep him in Green Bay through 2020.
