Alabama, OU Still Making Push for OSU Commit Levi Draper
Levi Draper made waves that shook the recruiting world when he chose to commit to OSU over Florida State, Alabama, OU, and many others back in July.
Verbal commitments are non-binding, which means that recruits, committed or uncommitted, are able to shop their options regardless of their status. This weekend, Draper took an unofficial visit to Norman to see the Sooners blow West Virginia out at home.
Draper reportedly came away impressed from the visit and said the atmosphere was second to none. He also spent time with defensive coordinator Mike Stoops, and he told Brandon Drumm that he and his family loved every minute of it. Not exactly comforting words if you’re an Oklahoma State fan.
For now, Draper is still committed to Oklahoma State; however, he plans to take a visit to Texas A&M in several weeks as they take on the Crimson Tide in College Station. Both A&M and Alabama have extended offers and expressed high interest.
Landing a verbal commitment from Draper was a big deal for the Pokes, but it sounds like they will have their hands full trying to ward off potential suitors for the No. 1 prospect in Oklahoma in 2017.
