There’s a lot going on in Stillwater these days. Football is 8-2, basketball is just starting back up and plenty of other sports are in action, as well. Let’s take a look.

Equestrian

The Cowgirls took down No. 8 TCU, 13-6, in their sixth-straight win in Totusek Arena on Friday. The win has the Cowgirls at the top of Big 12 standings with an undefeated conference record.

OSU has also signed four future Cowgirls  for 2018. See the full list on the Cowgirls’ Twitter page here.

Golf

The Cowgirls picked up a big commitment in Bartlesville’s Faith Hopkins. Hopkins was medalist in the USGA Four-Ball Qualifier in September and finished 3rd at the AJGA Junior at Oaktree in July.

The Cowboys also signed Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen from Denmark. The signee finished first in the 2017 Danish Under 18 title finished as runner-up at the Duke of York in England, sixth at the German Boys and 13th at the Danish International Amateur Championships.

Soccer

The Cowgirls defeated the Missouri State Bears last weekend in Stillwater to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. OSU won in a PK shootout, 3-2.

Sophomore Julia Lenhardt, who scored the Cowgirls’ first goal,  knocked in the difference-maker and goalkeeper Michela Ongaro saved the last three attempts to advance the Cowgirls.

The Cowgirls will take on top-seeded Duke on Friday at 6:30 p.m. (CST) in Durham, North Carolina. The winner of that game will take on the winner of Clemson and No. 4 Texas.

Softball

Head softball coach Kenny Gajewski and the Cowgirls signed a top-10 recruiting class last week. The class includes signees from Louisiana and Stillwater. See the full list here.
