Andrija Vukovic Reportedly Enters Transfer Portal
The Serbian big man battled through injuries late in the year.
Serbian big man Andrija Vukovic is the latest Cowboy to emter the transfer portal.
Verbal Commits reported the news Wednesday evening. This means no one from Steve Lutz’s first Oklahoma State team will be on his third team, as Vukovic and Robert Jennings were the only players who could do that.
Vukovic was playing some of his best basketball late this past season but had to do so while battling through a torn meniscus. He averaged 5.3 points and 3.4 boards a game in the 27 contests he appeared in this season.
He came to the states from Serbia ahead of last season but had a stop-start freshman year after arriving a bit later and then dealing with a back injury.
While in Serbia, he graduated from Prva Sportska Košarkaška Gimnazija Koledž Beograd, a specialized secondary school program. He played parts of two seasons against professionals in the Basketball League of Serbia while maintaining his amateur status. In 22 games with KK Vrsac during the 2023-24 season, he averaged 6.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 13 minutes a game.
Vukovic is the sixth Cowboy to hit the portal (seventh if you include Anthony Roy, who is reportedly seeking another year of eligibility). Thus far, Kanye Clary and Benjamin Ahmed have announced returns for next season, while Mekhi Ragland and Ryan Crotty are the only players from last year’s roster who haven’t made their intentions known.
