One day after landing the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, the Cowboys have picked up another top-20 prospect with No. 15 Anthony Ferrari.

This is the second commitment for the Cowboys 2022 class and one that was widely expected, as Ferrari is the younger brother of current Cowboy and projected 197-pound starter this season, AJ Ferrari.

Although Anthony follows in some pretty big footsteps behind AJ, he’s not just some tag along that is being brought in behind his older brother. Anthony is the real deal. Ranked as the No. 15 prospect for 2022, Ferrari also ranks No. 6 at his 152-pound weight class.

Ferrari finished second at the Super 32 this year and third at Junior Nationals as only as high school junior. Ferrari was one of only seven placers at Junior Nationals that are still in high school, along with fellow future Cowboy Victor Voinovich.

Although currently at the same weight as Voinovich, most have Anthony projected to outgrow Voinovich by college, as he’s a year younger and has a bit longer frame.

This tacks on one more highly touted recruit for 2022 that will come in right behind two major classes for Oklahoma State for 2020 and 2021. The future is certainly bright for Oklahoma State Wrestling and Cowboy fans.
