Baker Mayfield Trolls Oklahoma State on Twitter, Says Big 12 is ‘Our Conference’
Baker Mayfield has already been caught jawing back and forth on twitter this offseason with OSU wide receiver Tyron Johnson, and on Wednesday he and his twitter fingers were back at it again.
Mayfield took a not-so-veiled shot at the Cowboys after a tweet sent by OU’s official football account showing a GIF of Mayfield screaming during last season’s Bedlam game.

Mayfield and the fu-manchu, which he says he grows out every season for Bedlam because he’s the sheriff in town, are riding a wave of momentum after winning consecutive Big 12 titles and a Sugar Bowl victory. After winning 58-23 two seasons ago and 38-20 last season in Bedlam — both yielding Big 12 titles for the Sooners — it’s pretty clear he doesn’t see OSU as a serious threat for the team’s chance to complete a three-peat.
