The 6-foot-3, 195-pound outside linebacker racked up 72 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, three QB hurries and caused a fumble as a junior. In coverage he added three pass breakups, three interceptions, returning two of those for scores. He also played wide receiver on offense.
The Cowboys weren’t the first from the Big 12 to come calling, but they landed the in-state prospect. Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas and Arizona State all extended first. Utah and Texas Tech also followed OSU as well as the likes of Iowa and others. McGlothlin was in Stillwater last weekend and apparently that was enough to seal the deal.
Rivals considers McGlothin a four-star prospect, listing him as the No. 4 player from Oklahoma in the 2026 class and the No. 28 linebacker in the cycle.
McGlothlin becomes the Cowboys’ third commitment this week and fourth overall, joining fellow Tulsa-area prospect offensive tackle Aiden Martin and edge rushers Landon Bland (Missouri) and Jaylen Stewart (Texas).
