Bowl Projections: Cowboys Could be Headed Back to the Fiesta Bowl
You might be able to get a head start on your hotel reservations.
With the wounds of a last-minute gut-wrenching loss in Arlington still fresh, Oklahoma State will find out where its headed for the postseason, and against whom it will play.
The College Football Playoff committee will announce its final rankings on Sunday and then bowl designations will follow. But before it’s official, let’s see where some of college football’s talking heads have the Cowboys bowling. It looks like you might be able to get a head start on your hotel reservations.
All the projections I have seen show OSU going to the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1 in Glendale, Arizona. The question appears to be who they will face in the NY6 Bowl.

PlayStation Fiesta Bowl vs. Michigan State
If these prognosticators are correct, this will be the Cowboys’ third trip to the Fiesta Bowl. OSU won the 1974 Fiesta Bowl over BYU 16-6 and completed their first 12-win season with an overtime Fiesta Bowl win over Stanford in 2012, a mark they could equal again this year.
