Cade Cunningham Again Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week
Cunningham is up to three Newcomer of the Week awards.

Cade Cunningham is now a three-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week recipient.
Cunningham picked up this third weekly honor of the year Monday thanks to his 18-point, seven-rebound outing against Kansas last week. He becomes the first Oklahoma State player to win three Big 12 weekly awards in a season since Jawun Evans.
To go with his 18 points and seven boards, Cunningham also had three assists and two blocks against the Jayhawks. One of those blocks led to Rondel Walker’s game-winning bucket.
Only eight Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors have been dolled out this season, meaning Cunningham has 38% of them. He is familiar with some other winners, as well. Cunningham’s former AAU teammates Greg Brown and Mike Miles have each been awarded the honor twice. Oklahoma’s Umoja Gibson is the only Newcomer of the Week who wasn’t on that AAU team.
OSU’s Tuesday game against West Virginia has been postponed, so the Cowboys’ next scheduled game is a meeting with No. 2 Baylor on Saturday in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
