Chuba Hubbard Says NFL Decision Will Be Made within Two Weeks
Chuba Hubbard puts a timetable on his looming decision.
Within two weeks, 14 days or 336 hours, the world will know whether Chuba Hubbard will stay at Oklahoma State for his junior season or head to the NFL.
Hubbard put a timetable on his looming decision after the Cowboys’ 24-21 loss to Texas A&M on Friday night. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft is Jan. 20, but it seems as if Hubbard will have a decision before that deadline.
“There’s a lot that factors into it,” Hubbard said. “I’m going to have to talk with my family, friends, everyone, get all the resources. These next two weeks are gonna be, specifically, me working toward what I’m going to do and stuff like that. In two weeks, you guys will find out.”
On Thursday, KFOR‘s Dylan Buckingham tweeted that Hubbard said that he had received his draft grade but that the Canadian speedster has chosen to keep it private.
Hubbard finished his sophomore season with an NCAA-best 2,094 rushing yards. That’s the 18th-best season for a running back in NCAA history.
Many NFL prospects chose to not play in bowl games, which is why it came as a surprise to some that Hubbard chose to participate in the Texas Bowl. Hubbard ran for 158 yards on only 19 carries against Texas A&M in Houston.
