Chuba, Tylan Receive Preseason Walter Camp All-American Honors
OSU is the only Big 12 program with multiple All-Americans.
Opening kickoff for the 2020 college football season still seems centuries away, but the Pokes have a pair of preseason All-Americans when things get going.
Walter Camp released its preseason All-Americans on Thursday, where Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard was named to the first team and wide receiver Tylan Wallace was named to the second.
Hubbard led the nation in rushing in 2019 with 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns. That led to him being named a unanimous All-American. He is one of 14 players on Walter Camp’s preseason list who were All-Americans on the outlets 2019 list.
Clemson running back Travis Etienne joins Hubbard on the first team. Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson and Alabama’s Najee Harris are the second team running backs.
Wallace missed five games with a knee injury last season, but he still led the Cowboys with 903 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Wallace was a Biletnikoff finalist and Walter Camp second-team All-American in 2018.
LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Alabama’s DaVonta Smith were the first-team selections at receiver. Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman joined Wallace on the second team.
Texas, Oklahoma, OSU and TCU were all represented in the preseason All-American teams, but the Cowboys were the only Big 12 program with multiple All-Americans.
