Cowboys’ Game against Kansas State Gets Put in Six-Day Window
Still waiting on the K-State kick.
The Cowboys’ game against Utah could play into what time the Pokes kick off the next weekend.
The Big 12 on Monday announced kick times for the Sept. 28 slate of games … well, sort of. Arizona at Utah was the only game that was announced, those two teams will kick at 9:15 p.m. Sept. 28. The other six Big 12 games that day were put in the six-day window, which means we’ll learn Sunday what time Oklahoma State’s game against Kansas State kicks off in Manhattan.

OSU opens Big 12 play this weekend in a game against Utah that kicks at 3 p.m. in Boone Pickens Stadium. The Wildcats open their Big 12 schedule (after playing Arizona in a nonconference game this past weekend) with a trip to Provo to play BYU.
The Cowboys are coming off a pair of 11 a.m. kicks ahead of this game against the Utes. OSU started the year with a 1 p.m. kick against South Dakota State. Kansas State, meanwhile, has been more often than not kicking at night. The Wildcats opened the year with a 6 p.m. kick against UT-Martin before an 11 a.m. kick at Tulane. Then K-State’s game against Arizona kicked at 7 p.m. last weekend, and the Wildcats’ game against BYU gets the after-dark treatment with a 9:30 p.m. (central) kick.
Oklahoma State, Utah and Kansas State (the top three teams in the preseason Big 12 poll) are all unbeaten to this point in the year. These next two weeks could be huge for the Cowboys as it pertains to a potential December trip to Arlington for the Big 12 title game.
