Cowboys Make Top Eight for 2026 Quarterback Quinn Murphy
Murphy threw for 85 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions the last two seasons.
The competition is heating up for Oklahoma State’s 2026 QB spot.
Quinn Murphy, a four-star Texas passer, put out his top eight on Thursday, which included the Cowboys, as well as Arkansas, Baylor, Miami (FL), Minnesota, Missouri, NC State and SMU.

Rivals has tabbed Murphy as a four-star prospect and the No. 16 quarterback in the class. He’s rated as a three-star by both 247Sports and On3, but don’t be surprised if his stars continue to rise.
Murphy put up impressive numbers his first two seasons at Austin Regents before transferring to Liberty Christian in Argyle, Texas. In 2023, he threw for over 3,000 yards and 52 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. He also rushed for five scores. That came a year after Murphy racked up 2,404 yards and 33 TDs to just three picks.
Here’s a look at that arm in action.
OSU has yet to land a 2026 commitment as of writing but it’s still early, and there has been some noise on the QB front this week. On Wednesday, three-star passer Jackson Presley included the Pokes in his top six.
