Cowboys Offer 5-Star 2020 Shooting Guard Jalen Green
It may only be 2017, but in recruiting, when you find a player you want, you go for him. That’s exactly what Mike Boynton and Co. have done in offering class of 2020 shooting guard Jalen Green a scholarship.
Jalen Green, a class of 2020 guard playing for The Truth (CA), just picked up an offer from Oklahoma State.

The 6-foot-3, 170 pound soon-to-be-sophomore from Fresno, California is rated as a five-star player by Scout and considered the No. 3 player in his class. He was also a player who stood out at USA Basketball minicamp last October according to Rivals.
“Jalen Green is a long and athletic wing who continues to grow and expand his game,” Scout analyst Josh Gershon said. “He’s a plus athlete for the position who can handle the ball and score attacking the rim or with his jumper. Green sees the floor well and is a capable creator for teammates… he is already a productive player now, he also has a frame that will allow him to only gain strength and continue to improve.”
Oklahoma State is his eighth offer, joining Arizona, UConn, USC, Washington, Villanova, Creighton, and San Diego State. With another three years to go before he makes his final decision, you can expect that list to grow. A lot.
Take a look at his highlight reel from USA Basketball last fall. Remember, he’s going up against a lot of guys who are a year or two older than him. It would be quite the haul if Boynton were to land Green, but getting in early is a smart move.
Here’s a glimpse at what has Mike Boynton so excited about Green.
