This will be the third time the Cowboys will play in the invitational. In 2008, the Pokes lost both games in the double-elimination tournament. In 2013, the fifth-ranked Cowboys fell to Memphis in the championship game.
The tournament will take place on Nov. 22-25 in 2018.
