Dailey, USA Thump Lebanon to Finish Pool Play Unbeaten
Dailey scored in double figures again as the Americans cruised past Lebanon.
After a closer-than-anticipated game against Slovenia on Sunday, the Americans had no issues with Lebanon.
USA Basketball beat Lebanon 122-70 on Tuesday at the FIBA U19 World Cup. The Americans finish pool play 3-0 having outscored Madagascar, Slovenia and Lebanon a combined 335-211. The Americans move on to play China in the Round of 16.
Incoming Oklahoma State freshman Eric Dailey Jr. scored 10 points against Lebanon and added five rebounds, a steal and two blocks in just 18:38 on the floor. His per 40 averages throughout pool play were 26.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 3.2 steals and 2.4 blocks. He has shot 54% from the field.
China, the United States’ Round of 16 opponent, finished 0-3 in a tightly contested Group A. China lost 83-74 to Spain on Tuesday. Spain is believed to be one of the premier threat to the Americans to win the tournament.
