Daily Bullets (April 28): How Justice Fits in Baltimore
Feels like I was on a plane to Memphis yesterday to go to OSU’s bowl game against Mizzou. Now it’s almost May, almost summer. Long days, short years.

• Why add a wide receiver to this group of elite wide receivers with S. Alabama WR Jordan McCray coming to Stillwater? Well, OSU might not have answers but McCray does.
“I’ve been running routes since I was 5 years old,” McCray said. “I’m more a student of the game, and I think more about things than a lot of receivers do. I feel like a coach on the field.”
OSU’s receiver depth has been slightly depleted with the move of LC Greenwood to linebacker, plus the likelihood that Tracin Wallace will be pushed toward retirement after last year’s ACL injury — his third on the same knee in five years. [NewsOK]
Some good notes in there by Scott Wright on scholarship levels and why this is like getting a freebie from somebody who wants to finish out his career in a P5 conference.
• Oklahoma State is up eight strokes on TCU going into the final round of the Big 12 Championship. Viktor Hovland is tied for the individual lead at 8 under. Matt Wolff is five back. OSU will play one more round to try and do basically the only thing it didn’t do last year, win a Big 12 championship. Here are the final round pairings.
Viktor Hovland (68-64) shares the lead entering the final round of the Big 12 Championship. He's seeking his fourth win in seven starts this season.
Fourteen of his 19 rounds have been in the 60s. His worst score is 72.

• Justice heads to Baltimore, which actually sounds like a nice situation for him. I personally enjoyed this bit on how the Ravens are building a track team.
Justice Hill was the most productive RB in the Big-12. His jump cutting ability allows him to change direction and fly through holes. He was the combine’s most impressive RB. Hill’s receiving ability will allow him to split out wide. He can also factor in the return game. This pick makes a ton of sense, and he will most certainly join the 4×100 team of Lamar Jackson, Hollywood Brown and Miles Boykin. Speed kills, and the Ravens are becoming the grim reaper. Also, can we talk about how good this logo is? As someone who has seen — still sees — atrocious personalized logos on a weekly basis in the golf world, it’s a revelation to see something this good!

Lastly, I thought RA had a good take on this as well.
Basically, Hill is walking into a roster and running back depth chart to compete against three part-timers, pieces of a running back picture that could open up a large chunk of work for him to fill. Hill is adept at running the football in zone situations, fair defensive boxes, outside, catching passes, and high grades as well on pass protection.
However, as Gundy mentioned he will have a mobile, athletic quarterback to work with in Jackson. That means plays and concepts that Hill is accomplished and experienced with in zone read and RPO concepts will be very much in play. [Go Pokes]
• There was some (surprisingly?) good response to my “OSU is going to be great at hoops next year” piece recently, and Cam McGriff talked about this very thing recently when he was interviewed by okstate.com.
In June, McGriff and the other Cowboy veterans will welcome one of the nation’s top-20 recruiting classes, and it’s up to them to set the standards. McGriff doesn’t shy away from the fact that progress isn’t made in comfort zones.
“The group of guys that we have coming back are going to hit the ground running, and we’re going to bring those new guys along with us. I love watching freshmen make that turn, and it’s fun to help them develop.” [okstate]
There’s other good stuff in there, too, about what he’s working on and how you might see him shoot more 3-pointers in 2019-20 than you did last season.
• Good notes in here on how spring ball went for all 10 Big 12 teams.
• The Tyreek Hill semi-confession is really difficult to read. That might be it for him.
• No. 12 Cowgirls came back from down seven to beat Tech on Saturday.
The largest #OKState comeback since (at least) 2009 deserves a great speech from the boss.

• So the baseball stadium looks pretty awesome.

• As a content creator, I loved this between the Vox folks on their five-year anniversary. What they did well, what they wish they would have done differently.
