On a night when many of us expected to have our eyes glued to FOX for OU-Baylor, anxious over the Big 12 title implications a close game like that would have — it’s 10-0 at halftime currently — I sit here, disinterested, trying to digest a season gone weird.

There’s plenty to unpack from the goings on of OSU on Saturday, but let’s start with that giant, purple horny toad in the room.

In the most 2020 game ever, OSU won the turnover battle 5-1 and still found a way to lose on the road. Farewell, Big 12 title hopes, slim as you may have been.

OSU Football Bullets

• I laid out my 10 Thoughts on the TCU loss.

• The Oklahoman‘s Berry Tramel filled out his OSU Report Card and it wasn’t pretty, as you might expect. The highest score went to “Ballhawking” (an A) and the lowest score was a three-way tie (a D).

• The Tulsa World‘s Frank Bonner laid out all you need to know about OSU-TCU in four downs.

OSU Hoops Bullets

The Cowboys took care of business against a winless Oakland team, but it wasn’t as easy as you might think.

• Marshall’s 5 Thoughts on the Cowboys’ fourth win are required reading.

• Unfortunately, OSU had no answer for Oakland’s Rashad Williams, as Jacob Unruh pointed ou.

• The Cowgirls suffered their first loss of the year and moved to 2-1 after a 76-72 home loss to Alabama.

• Two top OSU targets had something to celebrate on Saturday night. Teammates Braylin Presley, a 2022 wide receiver offer and younger brother of Cowboy Brennan, and 2023 prospect Luke Hasz (who OSU offered as a Cowboy Back) both won a state championship.

Non-OSU Bullets

• This seems significant but was in no way unexpected.

• Russell Westbrook will be reunited with Scott Brooks with the franchise that claimed KD as its prodigal son. Take it all in.

• By the way that “frugal” player leaving a huge tip somehow helped lead to him landing in D.C.
