Three Thoughts
• Recap of one of the wilder days in Cowboy Football history:
– OSU Board of Regents met, nothing initially announced outside of the mention of a “plan” (PFB)
– Mike Gundy and OSU are in a “standoff” about contract status (PFB)
– Two media sources (people who work for traditional media outlets) now commenting there’s momentum in talks – one in OKC, one in Tulsa
My take – it appears university leadership wanted accountability for a *terrible* season and asked for a contract that’s more university-friendly. It seems Mike Gundy called their bluff, leaked to the media (speculation), and prompted the university back to the table to negotiate a new contract. It seems Mike Gundy will likely stay in the role for now.
• Ollie Gordon is headed to the NFL Draft (PFB)
Two Quotes
• Ollie Gordon has been a heck of a player in Stillwater – but this quote should highlight how Brennan Presley is an amazing receiver and teammate:
Back in Boulder, I asked Brennan Presley how he hoped Ollie Gordon would be remembered by #OKState fans.

• This quote is referencing West Virginia by Neal Brown but without knowing details, could be applicable to Oklahoma State:
“You can’t have top-four league expectations and have bottom-four resources. Wren is going to change that. It takes time. That’s not something you can overturn. But we are resourced in the bottom four in several categories — salary pool, revenue share, NIL — however you want to speak about it. But I think that’s all going to change.
“You can catch lightning in a bottle and be under-resourced. But to do it consistently in the program that this fanbase wants, you have to resource it.”
One Question
• Where do you rank Ollie Gordon between say… Chuba Hubbard, Justice Hill and Chris Carson?
To make this more specific – if you could have any running back for one half of a football game, which would you take?
Non-OSU Bullets
• Weirdest roadside attraction in each state
• Interviews with the men who (shhh) play Santa
