โข Pokes take on the Arizona Wildcats tonight at Gallagher-Iba – something that would have been absolutely must-see basketball 20 years ago (PFB)
โข Congrats to former Cowboy assistant Jim Knowles on winning the national championship last night (ESPN)
โข It wasn’t just Doug Meacham’s familiarity with new quarterback Hauss Hjeny that led him to Stillwater (or his close childhood friend catching passes there):
Oklahoma Stateโs new quarterback coach Kevin Johns, was the one who Hejny committed to first when he was the offensive coordinator at Duke and that connection remained strong even when the reality of college athletics took Hejny to TCU and Johns to the Sooners, where he served as an analyst until his promotion to interim co-offensive coordinator late in the 2024 season.[TulsaWorld]
โข HCS has the Pokes at No. 13 coming in its too-early Big 12 rankings and it has OSU-Oregon as a premium nonconference pairing (HCS)
โข I get the historical reason for this move but I’m not sure why it was never pulled down late in the Travis Ford or Mike Boynton eras, feels like you could have not opened up to sell those tickets late in those tenures:ย
Can anyone explain why they leave the curtains down for wrestling, but take them up for basketball? There are probably 3-4,000 more people here today.
