• Pokes dominated conference foe Air Force on the mat last night – a total sweep of all matches wrestled as the Pokes forfeited at 133 pounds (PFB)

• With some winter weather headed to Oklahoma, it’ll be a fun day to stay in and watch the Pokes play at West Virginia and the Cowgirls take on Kansas at home after the big Baylor win (PFB)

• In the transient world that is college athletics, the ties between OSU and West Virginia are surprising: 

Cowboy Patrick Suemnick was at West Virginia the past two seasons. Mountaineer Javon Small was at OSU last season. First-year coaches Steve Lutz and Darian DeVries are also familiar with each other, having spent seven seasons together as assistants on Greg McDermott’s staff at Creighton.

There is a sense of renewed freshness that all these offseason changes have brought. That sense of hope is important for a fanbase that didn’t have a ton of fun this past season. That freshness feels like it could also be important for the building, as this feels like the first time OSU has truly had to hit the portal this hard in this new era of college athletics.
