Underwood takes away cell phones

This reeks of something my parents would have done to me if I was in high school right now.

And it was awkward, for a bit. But soon, chatter rose, laughter broke out and there was a table buzz that’s so rare these days, not just for this team, but a generation constantly tethered to technology.

“Especially our generation,” said senior Phil Forte. “You don’t realize how often you’re just flipping through your phone, whether it’s Twitter, text messages, Instagram, Snapchat, whatever it is. It was good to kind of get away and talk and laugh. And to get away from basketball a little bit, too.” [NewsOK]

Mike Gundy approves.

Looking to 2017

Pro Football Focus has been high on Oklahoma State all season so it’s no surprise that it has OSU as a title contender heading into 2017.

The Sooners’ Big 12 rivals might also be their biggest threat to making the College Football Playoff in 2017, and Mason Rudolph is the best contender to Mayfield’s “best quarterback in the nation” crown. While the Cowboys are losing their best defender in Vince Taylor, who led the team with eight sacks and 37 total pressures, and also lose safety Jordan Sterns, it won’t come as a shock to anyone to learn that one of the top teams in the Big 12 will have to rely on their offense to power their hopes of reaching the College Football Playoff. Berry T. ranks the best title games of all time. I disagree with him on the top spot — USC-Texas was the best ever … Jim Harbaugh slept through the title game (anybody else as consistently annoying as Harbaugh?) … the CFB catch of the year.

This dude.

What is wrong with this dude?
