GoPokes 247 had some solid thoughts on the quarterback room in a recent piece:

I expect one of Zane Flores and Hauss Hejny to be good. Are either of them going to win the Heisman Trophy or make First Team All-Big 12? I don’t think so.

But I think they both have the capabilities to be decent, good quarterbacks for an Oklahoma State football program that is in a rebuilding stage. Throwing for 3,000 yards, limiting turnovers and providing a viable option in the run game should be enough for the Cowboys to stay afloat.

Rickie Fowler is the highest Cowboy on the leaderboard at T-10 at this year’s last major, Viktor Hovland is four strokes back from Rickie and T-70 (The Open)

• The annual article about the “blue-chip ratio” came out, and this comment on transfer portal-heavy teams was interesting.

All elite programs recruit high school talent at a high level and use the portal to patch holes. Meanwhile, teams bringing in 30 or 40 transfers are trying to either jumpstart a rebuild or salvage a coaching tenure.
