Big 12 Expansion

Why in the world is Texas endorsing Houston coming to the Big 12? [NewsOK]

On why football-only schools are an issue. Football-only members stamps the Big 12 as inferior to the leagues that had been its peers. If the Big 12 is only interested in maximizing money from television networks in the short-term, then football-only members makes some sense. But football-only members would be a sign that the Big 12 is not long for the world. [NewsOK]
