OSU Bullets

Justin Blackmon is joining the OSU ring of honor, soon immortalized on the walls of Boone Pickens Stadium (PFB)

• Cowboy wing Connor Dow entered the transfer portal, the first to enter this offseason (PFB) Marshall Scott put out a fun piece comparing this OSU quarterback room to the one from 2012:

Rangel is definitely Chelf. Chelf was a redshirt junior in 2012. Rangel is a redshirt junior in 2025. I’m not sure Rangel has “get away from the cops speed,” but both guys are capable by air or by ground… (Hauss) Hejny is (JW) Walsh. Both are the best runners in their respective quarterback rooms. Both enter their battle season as redshirt freshmen. Both were also the most highly touted recruits in their rooms. Walsh was the No. 140 player in his class, per 247Sports. Hejny was No. 201. Hejny is also wearing No. 4, like Walsh did. That leaves (Zane) Flores and (Maealiauki) Smith as some combination of (Wes) Lunt. This comparison isn’t as strong. Lunt and Flores both came from what is now Big Ten country (Lunt from Illinois; Flores from Nebraska), but that’s really all I have there. [PFB]

Bill Haisten talked with Rob Glass about his house burning, so sad – updates on other Cowboy folks affected also (TulsaWorld)

• From earlier in the week, Wyatt Hendrickson is a Danny Hodge trophy finalist – college wrestling’s Heisman (PFB)

Non-OSU Bullets

• Interesting family tale about a Dallas grandmother

• A Scranton-area Chili’s is opening soon – and it’s Office-themed

• What a wild finish with three lead changes in last 12 seconds – love to see old Thunder friend Josh Giddey doing well:
