OSU Bullets

• Mark your calendars – if we’re to have football on time, the Big 12 commissioner has a date for you.

“For the most part we’ve looked at a six-week, preparatory window,” (Bob) Bowlsby said. “There’s gonna be a re-acclimation period that I think can be accomplished in two-plus weeks. And beyond that I think you get something that looks a little like a regular preseason, and that makes July 15 about the time you have to be back at campus. You don’t just flip the switch and everybody shows up.

“I think we have to start getting some positive news by the middle of June to the middle of July at the latest… [247 Sports]

The thing about cutting fall camp short is the injuries – you rush back in and you’re risking some of that groin/Achilles stuff.

• After the Baltimore Ravens picked one of the best running backs in the draft, how does that impact Justice Hill’s playing time?

Supremely talented running back Justice Hill is also on the roster; while Hill didn’t get many opportunities in 2019, another offseason of training could prompt Baltimore to use him more frequently. [The Ringer]

So… the jury is still out.

Worth noting, the two running backs who were previously ahead of Hill both see situations where their carries could be decreasing (Mark Ingram is turning 30 soon and Gus Edwards will be a free agent after next season).

The most likely play here is that Hill and JK Dobbins are the future.

• A Big 12 guru I like talked about OSU’s NFL-talent on the roster.

Mike Gundy has legit NFL talent on his roster in Tylan Wallace and Chuba Hubbard and somehow convinced both to return to Stillwater for 2020. The Pokes also have some NFL-caliber talent in Amen Ogbongbemiga, Trace Ford (2022), and maybe Spencer Sanders if he learns to read defenses. [Concerning Sports]

• This is a pretty funny idea – develop a vaccine and you get into the CFP
