OSU Bullets

• A day after taking Game 1 over Kansas 8-1, the Cowgirls got run-ruled 10-1 by the Jayhawks. The rubber match is set for Sunday. [PFB]

• At the other diamond in Stilly, the Cowboys took care of business and earned a nice series win over TCU. They’ll look to sweep on Sunday. [PFB]

• During that game, TCU’s head coach got ejected for arguing a call and took a very deliberate stroll through the outfield.

The most positive response about further erosion of the symmetry from the 64-team bracket, will come from coaches. More access to the tournament, they will cry. More chances to win in March. Legitimate stance.
But coaches also know what the expansion means. More expectations. Already, pressure exists on every power-conference basketball coach to make the tournament. That pressure will amp up and quick, now that eight more slots are available. [Tulsa World]
