Daily Bullets (November 4)
Bedlam’s here, enjoy everyone.
Risk/Reward
Getting the conference power on your home field with the eyes of college football zooming in, but there’s immense payoff potential.
Rudolph and the Cowboys will have all the attention their fans so desperately want for them this weekend when No. 8 Oklahoma visits Stillwater.
A big game for Rudolph and a victory for the 11th-ranked Cowboys would push both off the fringes of the playoff and Heisman conversation and into the thick of it. [ABC News]
The Bob-less Sooners are an incredible opportunity just waiting to be seized.
Washington Got Game
In the midst of a really good piece on Cowboy great James Washington is a perfect description of why he’s so effective.
When he plays, he is a violent ballerina. His body control is extraordinary, and he couples it with a 39-inch vertical jump and a 40-yard dash around 4.4 seconds. Although he is only 6’0″, he gives off the impression that he is so much larger. [Bleacher Report]
There’s not a team in the country who wouldn’t love to have him and a defense in football that doesn’t hate to see him. Here’s to him being unleashed on the Sooners today.
Total Perception Makeover
Many reading this remember the days of Bedlam being the de facto bowl game, OSU’s destination to arrive at. What a change.
Most Cowboy fans now realize that Bedlam is not the destination. It’s the means to an end, the gateway to where OSU football wants to go. Most Sooner fans now realize that beating the Cowboys is not a divine right, but a feat that should inspire pride, since no other foe beats OSU with any regularity. [NewsOK]
Have you ever seen such a lopsided rivalry with such public interest?
OSU and NCAA Notes
The Iowa Wave is everything good about college football….Quoted above but this piece on James Washington is great….New tax bill would cut out writeoff on college sports tickets….Gameday reading: intense piece breaking down the OU defense….Fun piece on the sister Gundy….See who ESPN’s Jake Trotter is taking this week in the Big 12 (you’ll like his Bedlam pick)
Buyer beware, some fake Bedlam tix running around. If you buy one, make sure to sell it for twice as much to anyone in crimson.

cool TD play by Navy here. QB Zach Abey fakes like he's making adjustments at the line and then slips out as a receiver pic.twitter.com/gD1fA3TRvt

Smart would be the ultimate (gettable) fifth guy in OKC.
