Daily Bullets (Sept. 12): ‘We’ll Cross Oregon’s Goal, and Then We’ll Sing “Oklahoma State”‘

Kick time, TV info, all you need for today’s game – beat the Ducks.

Three Thoughts

• This is the best non-conference opponent to visit Boone Pickens Stadium since it (fully) opened against Georgia in 2009 – Go Pokes (ESPN)

• Big time NFL talent playing in Stillwater today – according to this article, two NFL GMs and many more scouts will be on hand (NewsOK)

• Ted says “it’s the hope that kills you”, but if you’re looking for a shiny lining in the clouds for today’s matchup against Oregon…

But if you’re looking for some hope for the Pokes, Oregon’s secondary showed some vulnerability last week, and I just can’t believe OSU QB Drew Mestemaker will continue to look as bad as he did at Tulsa. [Open for Business]

Two Quotes

• Really cool move here by the New York baseball teams – former Cowboy Nolan McLean shown here (No. 26 for the Mets).

• Only thing that would be better – OSU all-black against Oregon all-white (as much as the green/yellow look great):

Elite jersey matchup.

One Question

• Would you trade six or seven win seasons across the board from 2021 to now, or take the highs of 2021 and 2023 and the lows of 2024-2026?

Try to wrap your heads around these two facts. • The only XII football program to make the conference championship game twice in the last 5 seasons is Oklahoma State. • Oklahoma State is 0-19 in their last 19 conference games. #MakeItMakeSense pic.twitter.com/73Rxj7k5Ia

Non-OSU Bullets

• The unforgettable (really sad/hard to read 9/11) story of the falling man

• Outliving your bucket list

“The person who complains loudest will get attention, but at the expense of their reputation. And yet, following up is an important life skill. If you want something done and you’d like it done soon, then you need to follow up. The balance is in the delivery. Be pleasant and persistent when things matter to you. Always kind, but don’t let it rest until it’s done and done well.” James Clear
